Types of Baby Carriers

Stretchy Wrap

Length of fabric that is fed around the body. Typically made from jersey cotton. Perfect for newborns and small babies. Front carry.

 

Ring Sling

Length of fabric made with a pair of rings sewn into one end. One shouldered carry on front or hip.

Woven Wrap

Length of fabric that is fed around the body. Good for most size babies. Front, Back and Hip carry.

     

Soft Structered Carrier (SSC)

Body panel with straps like a backpack and waist belt. Available in various sizes. Front or back carry. Some designs offer hip and outward carry.

Wrap Conversion

A soft structered carrier (SSC) made from a woven wrap. Front or back carry. Some designs offer hip and outward carry.

Hip Seat

A back supporting belt with a built in seat for a child to perch on the parents hip. Some designs have a removable body panel with backpack straps for a front and back carry.

Straps like a backpack but no waistband. Quick to put on and easy to use. Older babies and kids. Back carry.
