A soothing oil blend using Lavender and Geranium pure essential oils to assist in preparing your perineum for labour. Regular perineum massage from 34 weeks can help avoid tearing during birth. Lavender works to soothe and calm the skin while Geranium helps to promote skin elasticity and flexibility.
Find a relaxed, comfortable position. With clean hands, apply a few drops on your thumb and perineum. Insert your thumb into your vagina up to your first knuckle and apply gentle pressure downwards, towards your rectum. Maintaining a gentle but firm pressure, move your thumb from left to right in a "U" shape in a rotating movement (imagine the hand of a clock moving from 3 to 9). You should feel a stretch and a slight sting or burn but never pain. For use from the 34th week of pregnancy. Massage for 3 - 5 minutes, 3-4 times a week (and up to once a day) until delivery.
